Easel cards are all the rage right now. They're easy to make but look very cool since they stand up to display the front and bottom inside of the card. These are the first few that I made. I really like them, the monocramatic yellow is my favorite.

I am so happy with how this turned out! Everything is from Stampin' Up!
I used the new mini milk carton big shot die cut from a designer series paper called Flock Together. I fastened them closed with the new Sending Love Epoxy brads in Chocolate Chip. The cute little holder is from a tutorial I purchased on Becky Robert's blog. Check out her stuff it is awesome! http://www.inkingidaho.blogspot.com/
I tied a bow using the new satin ribbon from the mini and then accented it with white feathers.
They are so cute I can't stop making them!

Still lots of Valentine inspired cards here. Part of that is because i've been sending many of these cards to my Secret Sister, the other is because the wonderful people at Stampin' Up! are sending $2 of every I {heart} Hearts stamp set sold to Haiti relief efforts. So take a look at how great this set is and buy one today :)Stamp Set: I {Heart} Hearts
Colours: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon
This card was inspired by one that I saw surfing the web. I just loved the look of white craft ink on the kraft cardstock. I changed the design a bit from the one I saw, making it a little more "me"
I was seeing these quilted cards everywhere. I wanted to make one but was I too chicken, I really thought it would be too difficult. Turns out its so simple! Start with a piece of cardstock 5.5x4.25 next punch out 1.25 square inches out of patterned or plain cardstock and adhere to the cardstock base. Run through your bigshot with the top note die to get the shape and then run through again with an embossing folder. You can add little stitch marks if you'd like to make it really look like a quilt. You may have to click on the picture to get a close up look at the texture.
Stamp Set: I {Heart} Hearts (little pink heart says love and cut out in center)
Colours: Real Red, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Sending Love Designer Series Paper, Top Note Die, Heart embosslit and Little dots Embossing folder.
Another fast easy and super cute project. Top note die cut out in Real Red, another Top note cut in pattern paper and cut along the perforated marks. Two score marks 1/4 inch each way from the center so that it folds and there is enough space to secure a chapstick. I used large eyelets and ribbon to keep it closed.

New goodies from Stampin' Up!
January 5th marks the beginning of a new mini catalogue and some fantastic new stamps sets. Stampin' Up! decided to offer the option of unmounted red rubber stamps which means less space (the sets come in dvd style cases) and a very nice decrease in price. It is also the beginning of Sell-a-bration where you can earn free stamp sets and other product with a purchase of $65 or more.
I LOVE this card! Its so simple but I still pretty and I used all 6 sheets of the new paper and since its double sided there is 1 heart for each pattern of paper :)
Colours: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: New Stampin' Up! designer series Sending Love paper, heart punch
Colours: Whisper White
Accessories: DSP Sending Love, Rhinestone brad, misc large white flower
Stamp Set: Well Scripted, I love love Jumbo Wheel
Colours: Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
Accessories: Black Gingham ribbon, White medium brad, misc black flower
It can be so difficult to make a masculine valentine with all the traditional pink and red so I went as masculine as I could with it still being fairly obvious with the hearts. I haven't done many cards with the wood but it now has me thinking about the possibilities a lot more because it looks great!
Stamp Set: Woodgrain background stamp, I Heart Hearts
Colours: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Top note die, Wood piece, brads
Stamp Sets: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel

Accessories: small dots texture plate
Stamp Set: I Heart Hearts
Colours: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: DSP Sending Love paper, Scallop border punch, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon
I was gifted with a squash scrapbook and I had to give it a try, here is my first one. I had to use the new DSP because its sparkly and completely gorgeous! It is so wonderful it was almost physically painful for me to cut it up to use. It uses 3 square sheets of cardstock scored horizontal, vertical and once on the diagonal. You adhere them together on one of the middle sheet of cardstock and then decorate with patterned paper and plain coloured cardstock. I'm so happy with how it turned out and this first one is off to my Secret Sister in her last package from me. I like doing the Secret Sister and I plan to sign up again for the next round.
Colours: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Real Red
Accessories: DSP Sending Love and Chocolate Chip and Vanilla striped wide ribbon

Here is the scrapbook all folded in on itself and tied with ribbon.
