I really intended to be updating more regularily but geez life is busy. Here are some more cards from new stamps and sets I have aquired. Below is Anya the Elf. I love the Anya stamps, and you'll definately be seeing more of her. http://splendidstamping.blogspot.com/

Slider cards a lot of fun to make, and this one is cute too! http://www.allthatscraps.com/index.php? main_page=index&cPath=650&zenid=d66faa549f9db322d592bb345523aacc
This card was cased from the very talented Amy at http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/
This makes me feel warm and cozy and wanting some hot cocoa! Check out more fun sets from the doodle factory here http://starvingartistamps.com/index.html

This card we made for a friend's son who turned 2 and is huge Bob the Builder fan. I took the inspiration from Splitcoast Stampers and made a few changes. I bought this set from the Buy-Sell-Trade forum there, so if you're on the look out for a retired set and reasonable prices check there before ebay. I am so happy with this set because finding boy/masculine sets can be difficult.

My new fairytale set from Doodlefactory. I LOVE their images, they are fun and quirky. I did this card for friends of ours who moved into a new house. I use to think that people who cut out images had too much time on their hands. I have limited amounts of time so I like to create as quickly as possible but these images needed to pop out and I had so much fun making this card! I put crystal effects and glitter on the towers and doors and windows to make them pop.
I also made a card similiar to this for another friends bridal shower but all in blues.
My apologies for not posting regularily but unfortunately with home being busy and some computer "issues" the blog has been neglected.
Halloween is my FAVORITE "holiday" even more than Christmas, I know i'm weird but Halloween is just so much fun so enjoy the cards I made :)

This card uses Stamping Bella image with Stampin' Up! patterned paper, and Rhinestone bling, and the Martha Stewart bat punch.

Another stamping images Little Witchy and "have a magical day" are from Stamping Bella. Patterned paper is Stampin' Up!

More of the same from Stamping Bella, Stampin' Up! and Martha Stewart.

Oh I love this little Harry Potter look-a-like. He's from Amuse Stamps. I added some glitter at the top of his wand to make it look like he was casting a spell. I think you'd be able to draw in long hair to make him a her.

The stamp set is the retired Booglie Eyes- still my favorite halloween SU set. The spiderwebs are an Amuse image. The Blood is made from the goopy goo border punch by Martha Stewart. You can see it better in the other cards.
These are a fun group of cards because the top folds up and the bottom folds down so you can see the message inside. You could also do this card horizontally which I may replicate with a Christmas design later on.

This is my favorite of the three.

Another of Little Witchy. She is just SO cute!

This is just the beginning of the plethora of new stamp sets that I have gotten or will be getting :)
All paper and colours used are Stampin' Up! Old Olive, More Mustard, and Summer Sun.

These stamps are from Paper Works Inc a company from Edmonton Alberta. They are unmounted but come ready to use on EZ mount for acrylic blocks.
Colours: Orchid Opulance and Lovely Lilac.

This is their first exclusive line of stamps- Safari friends. Lucas the Lion, Harriot the Hippo and Gordie the Giraffe.

I think these stamps are SUPER cute! and really versatile. The Lion will be saved for a baby card, Hippo was made for a little girl in my day home's 1st birthday and the giraffe is just for anything that may come up.

Colours are Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Kraft.

Birthday card for my sister Rebecca's Sweet 16! I had to add a bit of sparkle because Becca is the Crossfield Rodeo Queen this year. Stamp set is from Stamping Bella (see right side link)

I'm trying to be more green with my crafting so I decided to use my scraps to see how many more cards I could create.
My experiement was very successful and i'm happy that my brain was working well enough to come up with as many different cards. I do not like to mass produce, and since it was for Becca's bday gift I wanted them to each be unique.

The cards use SU! colours: Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Red Riding Hood, Baja Blue and Whisper White.
SU! stamp sets: Bareback, Equestrian Dream, Wanted, Bronc Buster, and Pocket Silhouettes.

I have been discovering the beauty of stamps from other companies- as you will begin to see in the coming weeks. I made a patterened paper on this and another card with Western Flourishes from CTMH. This set is gorgeous, I'm looking forward to embossing with it!

I had to add just a bit of bling to this card, I used some rhinestones from Darice- a great $1.50 item from the Michael's bin.

A couple of thank-you cards I made last week for 2 Aunties that had us over to stay in their homes over holidays this year.

I used the new set Inspired by nature. I love this set! Its going to be so versatile with every colour under the sun.

I chose to use Earth Elements since fall is now here. The best time of the year, and all the colours are so warm. I'll definately be posting some more fall inspired cards later on.

Colour used: Pumpkin Pie, Real Rust, More Mustard, Old Olive, Summer Sun and Chocolate Chip.

Sneak Peek

It has been ages since i've had the time to get crafty, 2 kids and a day home have really eaten up the hours in my day! This weekend though I got to play and i'm crossing my fingers that once a week i'll make the time to sit down and create some cards and scrapbook pages. Wish me Luck!

The new Stampin' Up! catalogue is going to be here in August and the sneak peek items we were able to preview have gotten me very excited. New stamp sets, new colours, new accessories- woohoo! Here are some samples with the goodies I got.
Sock Monkeys are everywhere! People seem to LOVE them or HATE them. As you can see I LOVE this little guy. He comes with a banana, cupcake, party hat, flag, balloon, flower and a couple of sayings.
Glitter is always good. These sock monkeys are accented by the new Riding Hood Red colour.

Fresh cuts- new stamp set and also lazer cut note cards. This is a very pretty set and makes it so easy to put together a card you may need at the last minute.

Lazer cut note cards come with envelopes too, I used the new colour Pink Pirouette.

This stamp set isn't new, its Pun Fun in the current catalogue but all the colours are! Riding hood red, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, and Kiwi Kiss. On the bottom of this card I used the new scallop edge punch. You can't tell from the picture but I have the bird and each of the layers on dimentionals to pop the image up a bit. I coloured the image with the new colours using a blender pen.

Valentine's Day Card Night

Some very cute ideas for projects using the Happy Heart Day stamp set that I found on one of my favorite sites- Splitcoast Stampers. This little bag of goodies is perfect for any occasion, easter, halloween or birthday goodie bags. The scalloped punches are decorating peppermint patties- very cool idea!
I love this card, it can be difficult to come up something nice and masculine. I think the layout is very nice and I'm planning on replicating this again! Colours- Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, and Certainly Celery patterned paper.

Colours- Whisper White, Basic Black, Real Red
Also uses stamp sets- Little Pieces and Wonderful Words

Altered Clipboards

These clipboards were Christmas gifts this year. You can easily place 3 photos on the clipboard and swap them out as often as you want. They are fun to make and you can really personalize the colours and style of them to suit you or someone you're gifting to.

Christmas Cards

I did not send out Christmas cards this year, being pregnant and running a day home was just enough on my plate to keep me busy. I made an assortment of cards for my friend Melissa as payment for the beautiful jewlery she made me, these are a few of the cards.

Another Altered Tin

These tins are very easy to make and they can be gorgeous even with very little embellishments. I did this one with one sheet of 12 x 12 and various ribbon.
