Supporting Canadian Troops

I bought Causabella with an idea in mind for my StepMom Karen, she walks the Weekend to End Breast Cancer every year. Since she may be reading this I won't divulge what exactly I have in store but it'll be great and I'll share it here when I'm eventually done.
I was playing last night with Causabella and agonizing over the right shade of pinks to use, because I was focused on using her for Breast Cancer. Then it dawned on me that this was Causabella- that meant she stood for all Causes. Duh! Michelle. So I decided to leave the multitude of pink cardstock, markers, etc for another time and come up with another worthy cause.
I was reminded of Chloe's yellow ribbon on Saturday as she was off to see Jesse graduate from his training. Even though I love monochromatic colour schemes Causabella needs to punch it up a bit because well, just look at her, she's all about being seen and heard. In Canada we have red Fridays where you wear red to show the support of our Canadian Troops, thus the inspiration for this newest Bella card.

Bella Craze!

After eagerly stalking the mail box my bellas have arrived! These super hot little stamps are so cute and fun! This is cosmobella. I decided that she would grace the cover of a sassy collection of my favorite bevi's. Can you see the tabs on the far right side, they mark the catagories for the drinks. I had a great time making this, more bella's to come in the following week!

Wild About You

This card was inspired by the extreamly talented Amy who's blog is Prairie Paper & Ink. Here is a link to a card I fell in love with back in November and just finally got around to casing this past week. http://prairiepaperandink.typepad.com/amyr/2006/11/index.html Since I do so much in girly colours I figured I'd challenge myself and be inspired by this great combo of buttons I had arrive in a recent order. I'm loving the long cards. I plan to design a few for the next card night.
All supplies are Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets: Wild About You and Print Pattern Background. Colours are Not Quite Navy, Tempting Turquoise, Certain Celery, and Apricot Appeal. The buttons come as the Fresh Favorites I combo.
